U2 is coming ot Toronto in September and Ottawa in November. If I can't make it either of these concerts I'll probaably never be able to see them. $50 minimum just ofr the cheap seats. Up to $125. The Dutchman in me has a hard time with this. Tickets go on sale next week Saturday. I'll definitely have to try to get tickets.
Believe it or not, Bono almost was going to come to Peterborough to speak at some Evangelical Christian gathering but then the organizers decided not to invite him because he might swear. Seems they've missed the point - or made the point that they're more concerned about his language than people dying on the other side of the globe.
And yet we think of nothing spending $50 for a two or three hour concert.
